Brian Marcy and Claire Carver make some of the most purely delicious wines in the Willamette Valley and their 2021 Willamette Valley Chardonnay is a beauty. A barrel selection from all 7 vineyards they work with, it’s a true portrait of the outstanding 2021 harvest. Whole cluster pressed, barrel fermented, no racking and minimal sulfur allow the vintage’s ripe, rich, fruit and vibrant acidity to shine through while giving the wine a wonderfully creamy mouthfeel. Toasty without being “oaky,” full of fruit without being “fruity” or sweet, this is lovely stuff to sip, savor and share (especially with food!).
"This has aromas of green apples, white grapefruit, flint and smoked almonds. Nicely reductive, crisp and flinty, with a medium body, vibrant acidity, and subtle toasty notes lingering at the end. Drink now."
