A pretty label for a very pretty Priorat indeed. From the slate-covered hills inland from Barcelona, this blends 40% Garnacha, 30% Samso (Carignan), 20% Cabernet and 10% Syrah to create a vibrant and sneakily muscular red. Aromas and flavors of crisp cherry and red berry fruit, tart cranberry, spice and a handful of violets flows easily across your palate before sandy tannins come up for support. Big, but fresh.

For You If:   You’re looking for a refreshing red that feels light and vibrant but has the heft and grip to pair perfectly with hearty meals off the grill; you like a little something floral mixed in with juicy, ripe, fruit.

Not For You If:   You’re looking for the kind of Priorat that tastes like blacker-fruited Chateauneuf du Pape – this is poised, elegant, pure.
