No tasting on Friday (although The Paring is open to try all day). Then, on Saturday, what a great line-up we have for you to try from noon-4pm. Here are five great choices to enjoy on quiet family nights and share when crowds show up parties and visits. You’ll taste: Perticaia Trebbiano Spoletino Spoleto 2022 - This unique grape of Umbria delivers big aromas and flavors of ripe pear, Golden Delicious apple, citrus and ginger and finishes with outstanding minerality and verve. Collina San Ponzio Roero Arneis DOCG 2022 - If you don’t know Arneis, then this is the perfect introduction to the white grape of Barolo and the sandier vineyards of the Roero hills next door. And if you do know Arneis and are used to paying $20-$25 for a good one, then Collina San Ponzio Roero Arneis may be a bigger revelation still! Roucas Toumba - Les Grands Chemins 2020 – A gloriously gutsy, highly drinkable, blend of 50% grenache, 40% old carignan and 10% syrah on clay/sandstone soils in a slice of Cotes du Rhone just under the hills of Vacqueyras. The Paring Red 2018 - Vinous called this 60% Cabernet Sauvignon California Bordeaux blend "an insane value" at the $25 initial release price. From just $20.98 on six bottles or more, it's going to be your go-to choice for all kinds of holiday season entertaining and meals. Le P'tit Paysan Le P'tit Pape Red 2020 – Winery founder Ian Brand got his start with Randall Graham at Bonny Doon, and there's definitely something very "Bonny" going on here in this zesty, fresh, Cotes du Rhone blend of 57% Grenache, 34% Syrah, 6% Mourvedre, 3% Counoise from California's Central Coast. As always you’ll enjoy some treats from the cheese case with the wines and best six/12 bottle discounts on a mix/match basis during the tasting. Join us! |
